Well, as I suspected from the preliminary swatching I did right after I brought these polishes home, I think the NK ones are going to be the best find from that day. They’re opaque, they’re the perfect thickness, and they apply beautifully. This dried really fast cause it dried matte like a neon. 3 coats. It shimmers and sparkles like CRAZY. For some reason, this photgraphs much more red than it is. On the nail, it’s more [...] Blackout is totally cool. It’s filled with tiny holo glitter, and it’s kinda awesome. This is 3 coats for opacity. I wanted to kick up the holo-ness, so I added a coat of LA Girl Rockstar Supernova. Still pretty darn cool, but I think since the base is a little bit tinted, it swallowed [...] I have a zillion blogs in my google reader, and I normally go through them at work on my blackberry. When I see something I like, I usually add a star to it and come back to it later to comment. But lately I’ve noticed that a bunch of blogspot blogs aren’t allowing me to [...] China Glaze Ravishing, Dahling is the yardstick against which I measure every red, vampy, jelly polish. And Ravishing, Dahling is always victorious. It was my first and favorite vampy jelly! Berry Hard is a close second, though – this is a really nice polish. It’s a lot darker than Ravishing, Dahling, of course, but not so [...] Something Sweet was kind of underwhelming. It’s a verrrry pale shade of pink, but it’s also extremely stark. Application was about what you’d expect from such a creme. I think it would be improved 200% by layering something with it – maybe CND Crimson Sparkle?
I’ve reviewed Dirty, Sexy, Money before, but I loved it so much that I felt the need to wear it again. After a day of wear, though, I was bored with it, so I added CND Amethyst Sparkle. Jade Sparkle would’ve been the more obvious choice, but I was trying not to be obvious this [...] Fail. I don’t like dark purples and the holo effect didn’t seem very strong on this one. I just really didn’t like it at all. Adorable name though. I really need a polish to be called WTF.
