Rescuing An Ancient Polish

I’ve never really had the opportunity before to save a seriously crusty, goopy polish until now. Years ago I threw out all of my thickened ones (STUPID STUPID STUPID!), so everything I have now is in pretty good shape. I got this polish at a flea market for 75 cents though, and although it’s so thick that the brush doesn’t really bend and the polish doesn’t move when you tip the bottle over, I knew it was still worth buying!

This is China Glaze Ooh La La Pink Pearl, by the way, and the internet tells me it’s from Spring 2003, one of the French Bliss polishes.

This is the thinner I used, it came from Sally Beauty. Normally when using thinner you’re adding just a few drops to make a slightly thickened polish flow better, but this polish was seriously dried out, so I just kept dumping some  into the polish bottle and kept shaking and checking it till it got to a good consistency. The bottle of polish was only half full when I started out, and now it’s entirely full, which gives an idea of how much thinner this took.

And here we are! Perfectly flowing polish! And quite pretty, too!
