Continuing Dusty China Glaze Week (which I kinda feel like I stole from Polish Insomniac, but it wasn’t planned!), today I have Moody Blue for you.
I feel like this is one of those polishes which is semi-sought after only because it was inventive at the time it was released, not because of the polish itself. The color is nice, a very very very pale blue, but it was a pain to apply. I don’t like to complain about older formula polishes because who knows how they’ve been treated by whoever originally owned them, so let’s just leave it at this: 4 coats and still streaky. But see the paragraph below for streakiness justification!
This polish was released in the Patent Leather II collection, which, after much research, I can only tell you was released at some point after the Patent Leather I collection…which was released sometime pre-2004. I’m actually pretty sure Patent Leather II is from 2004, but I can’t confirm it yet. Anyway, the polishes in this collection were “groovy” colors, and were supposed to have a “wet hi-shine look to them.” I’d say that’s accurate, the ones I’ve tried are semi-jellies, hence the streakiness. The collection also included Groovy Green and Aqua Baby.

I doubt I was the first to do a ChG Dusty Week!!! I really enjoyed yours!
even so, it totally felt like a ripoff!
Very pretty!
Wish I had this one!
thanks!
