China Glaze Crackle Glaze Metals!

Before I get to the swatches, I just have to note that in the few weeks since I’ve done any real swatching, I seem to have…forgotten how to swatch. I’m a little ashamed of these pictures. I’m not even sure why my index and pinky fingers look diseased, either – they look fine IRL! Now that’s out of the way, onward!

Platinum Pieces over Sinful Verbena.

This one’s by far my favorite! I love the silver and purple together. I’m not sure why I like this one so much when I absolutely LOATHED Silver Shatter, I’ll have to compare them sometime.

Tarnished Gold over China Glaze papaya Punch.

Your standard gold color. I guess just golds don’t excite me.

Oxidized Aqua over Sinful Adventure Island.

Very pretty, but I had a hard time finding anything that looked good to wear under it.

Latticed Lilac over Sally Hansen Yellow Kitty.

I’m not a huge fan of this one, really. It doesn’t have very much color.

Haute Metal over Sinful Star Fish.

I literally wore this all week long, from Sunday to Sunday. It wore amazingly well and was SO. DARN. PRETTY!

Cracked Medallion over Sinful Open Seas.

This is a really neat color, bright and coppery. One of my favorites from the collection!

My thoughts: these have a really thin, almost sheer formula, but once they crack up they’re plenty opaque for me. I did notice a tendency to wrinkle if applied over polish that’s still a little wet, which you can see in some of my photos above. Also, the generic names that don’t really mean anything kind of bugged me, cause I can never remember which is which! But, they were easy to apply and looked great! There are the first metal/shimmer crackles I’ve ever liked, actually.
