Neo Whimsical, 3 coats. Yawn. This very light pink polish is pretty enough, but nothing special. I think that such light colors look bad on me because they match my skin too well. Van D’Go, 3 coats. This one is much prettier. It’s a very light pinkish/peach color, and I really like it.
This is a darker red rather than a bright red. It’s got tons of silver shimmer in the bottle but it’s almost invisible on the nail. This was my other flea market find from a few weeks ago. Bleh.

The two Essies sitting there all lonely and sad on a dirty table were like a beacon for me. ) Now they have lots of friends in my storage drawers! The cap [...] China Glaze Ravishing, Dahling is the yardstick against which I measure every red, vampy, jelly polish. And Ravishing, Dahling is always victorious. It was my first and favorite vampy jelly! Berry Hard is a close second, though – this is a really nice polish. It’s a lot darker than Ravishing, Dahling, of course, but not so [...] Shelter Island is very bright. A little too bright! Maybe it just didn’t fit my mood for the day I wore it. Sooo, the comparison. Yummy is a little darker, and Caribbean Blue is a little brighter. And, I hadn’t noticed this before looking at this comparison shot, but click to enlarge it – [...] I adore corals! This one’s an Essie, so of course application was great.
Mint Candy Apple is maybe a tad bit too stark for me, but it’s still a very pretty color. How to describe it…moldy White-Out? It’s not going on my top 10 or anything, but it’s a very nice polish and application wasn’t overly streaky or terrible. I wore this for several days, hence the enormous [...]
Pretty pretty! Once again, my camera cannot take pictures of reds though. Strangely, the bottle picture is fine, but the nail picture has turned cherry red as always, I don’t get it! This polish is yet another that proves that I was entirely wrong in my dislike of Essie-this and every other Essie [...]
Very nice. I’ve gotten away from wearing only mauve polishes lately, but I really like this one that I picked up on clearance at Ulta.
Cremes bore me, though, so I added CND Effects Crimson Sparkle. The Effect is very apparent in real life, but I couldn’t seem to get a picture that really [...] Sag Harbor is a dusty, delicate baby blue. There’s obvious shimmer in the bottle, and it was still slightly apparent when I was applying the polish, but it’s invisible on the nail. Just exactly enough of the tiniest shimmer to make the polish non-chalky. I love this so much!! It is the most perfect, beautiful soft [...] |
