I recently bought my first Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics polish, Swamp Thing. This color is extraordinarily ugly, people. Of course, I don’t really think that’s a bad thing – with all the beautiful, ladylike colors I have, sometimes I just need something edgy and ugly, and so there is room in my heart for swampy greens, [...] Well, here’s the Hampton collection from Funky Fingers! The collection looks really nice together (except for the oddball Mint Me In Montauk), and the colors are so cheery and summery to me! Only one of these 5 polishes seems right off the bat to be a Color Club dupe. Most of the brushes were crazy [...] OK, so I know that this looks like a jelly, but it’s really not. It looks like a creme on the nail, so that’s what I’m calling it. This was 3 coats.
I swapped for this polish, while the swap was a lovely experience, I hate this polish so much!!! This is FIVE coats, and it’s still not even. And the bubbles! It’s also…well, green. Not teal at all. I don’t know, since the polish wasn’t new when I got it I don’t really like to hold it [...] This is a very pretty, unusual shade of green. Very fine green shimmer. This is 3 coats, maybe could’ve used 4.
This is another reswatch, because my previous pictures were embarrassingly bad. I like it better this time, but it’s still a little dark for me.
In The Jungle was acquired through a swap, along with Caribbean Sea. It did NOT wear as well as Caribbean Sea – look how beat up it looks after 2 days of wear! But I did have the same application problems. Beautiful color, though. 3 coats. See that area on the top side of my middle [...] I’m pulling out all the old pics I have, thus the nubbins and the not remembering much about the polishes! I got this polish at Wal-Mart for $2, and though it’s a holo, it’s sort of more of a “sheer polish with lots and lots of tiny holo shimmer.” Very pretty color!
I got this polish as a throw-in from a swap I just did. So nice, cause this was on my wishlist! I love this color, but it really was a pain in the ass to apply. I got bubbles, and it took 4 coats, and it refused to dry, etc. But look how pretttttty!!! Because of [...] |
