Yes!!!!! These were taking up SO MUCH ROOM in my untried section, and now I can move them OUT into my Melmers! I’m so proud of myself. I have ALMOST whittled it down to making all my untrieds fit on the display shelf my dad made me, EVEN with the addition of the Vintage Vixens [...] Well, as the post I had planned for today was, I think, eaten by wordpress, here’s a huge random post. I am clearing out my drafts folder all in one go! Nina Ultra Pro – In A Tiff Still trying to get through some of my old swatches that I never posted for some reason. This picture shows that I didn’t clean this manicure up! I only got this polish cause Rite Aid was having a buy two sale and I was all hyped up cause I’d just found Hidden Treasure, so I made [...] I was actually surprised by how much I liked Who Are You Wearing?. I thought it’d be totally boring, but I thought it was pretty interesting. It was begging for some Konad though, so I used Color Club High Society (which came out looking totally brown) and Konad plate m60.
And I finally found another Color Club collection, Pardon My French. This collection came out pre-obsession, so I didn’t know anything about it. It’s kinda…boring? I expect that any collection with “French” in the name should be intended for french manicures, right? And I…guess that’s what this is for? There’s one oddball super-light pink, and [...] I think this is one of those polishes that’s supposed to be done in one coat, no base or top, but I just can’t do that, so this is 2 coats, plus base and topcoat. This MIGHT be a very faint frost. I don’t like it. This is much pinker than it appeared in the bottle. [...] Ahhhhhhhh. I really, really like this polish. It’s understated, but of course it’s got all that holo goodness. I think it’s the only one I own from this collection, and I’d been drooling over it for forever. Romantic Rose is totally a lame name, but I really like this polish! It’s from my 10-years-ago stash, I think, when I was crazy for nudes and mauves. It has a verrrrrry subtle shimmer, and is just an all around good, flattering, “skintone +pink” color. I had lots of chips after wearing it [...] I’m trying to roll through some of my older polishes. This is really hard, because my old polishes are almost exclusively drugstore nudes and mauves – not at all exciting!! Plus I now have all these beautiful new polishes, so I really can’t be bothered with anything old at all. But. It must be done* [...] |
